How You Get Paid

You are paid with a check at pickup. The tow driver brings it, made out to you, for the agreed Instant Bid. Zelle is also available. That is the payment—not a second offer when the truck arrives, and not cash in hand.

Nationwide Remarketing dba CarBidNow picks up in all 50 U.S. states, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Timing depends on location and the nearest tow provider; it is not a same-day guarantee.

Check at pickup, with Zelle also available

Payment is usually a paper check the driver hands you at the appointment, and Zelle is also available. It is written for the agreed Instant Bid when the vehicle matches what you entered. You deposit it on your bank’s timeline. “Cash for cars” here means a purchase paid by check at the truck.

What has to match for the check to match the bid

The check matches when the car matches what you submitted:

• Starts, runs and drives, or is inoperable
• Correct clean, salvage, or rebuilt title type
• Vehicle identified by the VIN

Enter the car as it sits. A wrong condition is the usual reason the number changes. The vehicle must roll and the title must be transferable.

Who the check is made out to

With a clean title and no lien, the check is made out to you for the agreed Instant Bid.

Keep your ID and title documents ready so the name on the paperwork lines up. If there are co-owners or a name mismatch, call 1-877-669-2431 before you accept.

If you still owe money: lien payoff split

An eligible lien can be paid off as part of the purchase. We explain the payoff before pickup. Do not assume the full Instant Bid is a check to you until that split is explained.

• If the bid covers the payoff, the remaining amount, if any, goes to you after the lender is handled.
• If you may owe more than the bid, call 1-877-669-2431 before you accept; we will not guess the payoff.
• If the title is still with the bank, say so early. We can help when a transferable path exists.

Deposit timing and what “paid” means

You are paid when you receive the check at pickup for the agreed amount, or the seller-side amount after an explained lien split. Deposit clearing follows your bank, not a CarBidNow wallet.

If paperwork is incomplete, payment waits with pickup. Use title help before you lock a date.

Clean title, underwater, and mismatch scenarios

Clean title, no lien: Check to you for the agreed Instant Bid when condition matches.

Underwater loan: Call before you accept. The Instant Bid is a purchase price for the vehicle condition—not a promise that you walk away with money after the lender is paid.

Condition mismatch: If the car was reported as runs-and-drives but will not start, the number can change. Accurate condition keeps the check aligned.

Title type mismatch: Salvage or rebuilt marked as clean can change paperwork and the number. Use the correct title type; see Sell a salvage title car.

Inoperable but rolling: Mark inoperable; payment is still the check at pickup. See Sell a car that doesn’t run.

How payment fits the sale

1. Get an Instant Bid on the homepage at Get your Instant Bid.
2. Accept only if the number works.
3. Dispatch schedules pickup, typically 24–48 hours.
4. The driver brings the check; you hand over keys and transferable title documents.

We buy vehicles that roll and have a transferable title, or a title path we can help you complete. Clean, salvage, and rebuilt titles are accepted when they transfer. We do not promise a purchase with no path to a transferable title.
